New Year Resolutions Are Just Sick, Wrong, And Stupid!

So it's finally 2016, and everyone knows, a new year, comes new beginnings, new objectives, new goals and so on. It's a time for change, a time for new beginnings, a time for new resolutions, and I'm going to be very honest with all of you, I honestly feel that new year resolutions…

…are a load of crap.

Think about it, new year resolutions mean new goals for the year, but don't we already have goals set the previous year? Statistically speaking, most of us hardly complete the new year resolutions set the previous year, and yet every year we use the same overrated excuses:" It's a new year, and new year comes with new year resolutions" or "Hey everybody is doing it, so why not?" to change our goals that we give up on. To think that I was like that the year before, it sickens me to the core.

Does the new year mean that we can give up our goals we set the year before to make new ones? NO! Since when has new year been an excuse for people to change their goals they given up on just because they are too lazy to work for it? NEVER! And what the hell is the sound that a horse make? NAY! And what do they eat? HAY! AnyWAY! If new year was for an excuse for us to make new goals and give up on the old ones, what's the point of working hard to fulfill your dream? I mean, if you give up that dream so easily, it means you don't really want it, and hence you deserve to be always dreaming, you deserve to never achieve what you want, you deserve to feel disappointed in youself because you can't achieve you dream!

Some people may argue: "My new year resolution is the same as last year! I didn't give up the dream!". Yes, your dream may be the same, but ever wonder why your new year resolution is the same as last year? Yeah, you guessed it! It's because you didn't work hard enough the last year to achieve and complete your new year resolution. I mean, if you don't even bother to chase after that dream, what's the point of dreaming anyway? Why bother dreaming if you're not chasing, you're gonna get hurt unneccesarrily!

Moreover, some people set new year resolutions just because it's cool or because they're doing it so that they can show off to their friends. That… just f*cking sickens me. I mean, if you're doing it for the wrong reason, just stop doing it. There's a limit to how far empty words can take you. Stop bringing shame to all those people who worked very hard to complete their new year resolutions and stop wasting your own time writing out pointless goals that you're not going to chase!

New Year Resolutions are just a bunch of empty words. They either are left unfinished or are just forgotten because it is too hard. What's worse is that it has provided a ridiculous reason for people to give up goals they've set for themselves because it's too difficult!

To all those people that actually do complete their new year resolutions, Thank You! You are the reason why there is still hope in humanity, you are the reason that there can still be change in this world, so with all my sincerity, keep completing your new year resolutions!

Since it's the new year, I'm going to say this:

If you still want to make new year resolutions, give up making pointless ones that are just empty words thrown into the dumpster, instead make this your resolution, your new goal for 2016 and for the years to come: My goal, is to complete all other goals I've set for myself!

And with that, I wish all of you a Happy New Year!
